Reception have been busy exploring our EYFS garden in search of summer fruits. We discovered apples, blackberries, and juicy plums growing among the plants. The children listened carefully and showed great respect for nature, learning the important rule: never pick fruit or berries unless you're with a trusted adult. After gathering our fruit together, we gave it a good wash and got ready to make a delicious crumble!
In Reception, we’ve been reading Pumpkin Soup and getting creative in DT by designing our own vegetable soups!
A huge thank you for all the generous vegetable donations , the children loved chopping, boiling, and blending them (with a very special “blending dance” led by Mrs McPhail! 🕺🥕).
The final soup was absolutely delicious — a perfect autumn treat! 🍂🍲
