Out of Hours - Breakfast and After School Clubs

Breakfast Club

Here at Shiney Row Primary School we operate a very successful Breakfast Club, costing only £1 per day.

Breakfast consists of a choice of cereal,  a wide variety of fruits, cereal bars, cheese and crackers in addition to milk, fruit juice or water.

Children who attend Breakfast Club can enjoy various sporting  games and activities with Miss Armstrong or stay and relax with the toys, games and other equipment in Breakfast Club.

The Breakfast Club doors are open from 8am and at 8.50am Breakfast Club staff take each child to their respective classes and wait to hand them over to the teacher.

If you would like to find out more about the Breakfast Club, please contact Mrs MacKnight.

After School Club

Our After School Club facility is very popular, which is no surprise when it costs only £2 per day per child!

At 3.20pm the After School Club staff collect the children from their respective classes and bring them to the club room, where a light tea is provided.   This can consist of beans on toast, tomato soup and sandwiches to hot dogs and pizza. Each day there is also a selection of crackers, fruit and yogurts as well as some cake as a treat as well as a variety of drinks.

After tea a wide range of activities are available from colouring and drawing, crafts, construction toys (ie Lego and Connex), table top games and toys like a dolls house, garage and a castle. There is even a television and DVD in the room as well as a Wii or Xbox.

We do our best to provide a quiet time for those children who want to complete homework and provide reading support to those children who need it.

All children are to be collected by 5pm.
