Year 6 visited SafetyWorks in Newcastle.

The SafetyWorks! interactive safety centre provides realistic, interactive learning experiences for the prevention of danger and guidance for living more safely. As they walked through the doors, it was like being on a film set.

The children worked through a range of scenarios including: fire safety, first aid in the kitchen, anti-social behaviour, travelling safely on the Metro and peer pressure. They worked with people from our local community including Gentoo, Northumbria Police and the Tyne and Wear Fire Service.

The children had a fantastic time and learned a lot about how to keep themselves safe
